As per title. * Go to an existing transaction * Go to the category field. * Update the category * Line below the current linein the register is overwritten with the same information, even though there was a transaction there. This transaction is not actually changed. * To see info correctly, exit account, reenter. *

I couldn't re-create what your reporting.

And, this strongly suggests a corrupted Q data file.

Have you tried taking a backup and then VALIDATING your file? SuperValidating?
