Quicken Credit card reconciliation screen prompts for "ending statement date", "charges, cash advances", "payments, credits" and "ending balance".

It would be preferable to prompt for "payments" and "other credits" as that is how actual credit card statements show the individual amounts. Otherwise one has to add 2 amounts to enter into 1 field, which could introduce errors"

The basic problem with your idea is that not all card statements use the same terminology or layout

I would prefer Quicken eliminate the 'Charges, cash advances" and "Payments, credits" prompts since Quicken doesn't use these fields. Currently I just enter 0 in both fields and then proceed to reconcile.

Agreed. It's been a long time - if ever - since QWin used those two numbers in its CC reconciliation.
