Citi / Costco Credit Card Not Downloading Similar Transactions

Hi, long term user of Quicken Deluxe for Windows. Running latest version.

For the past few months, Quicken is not correctly pulling in similar transactions. For instance, I use my Costco credit card to buy a coke zero out of the coke machine a couple of times a week.

I download my account every day into Quicken and it will pull in one of the transactions but will miss some of them (same amount but different days) and my balance is off when I reconcile.

Any suggestions?

    This might be one of those situations where you might need to pick up the phone and call Official Quicken Support .

    It sort of sounds like this could be an instance where the (largely invisible) downloading process is mistaking transactions that on their face (except for date and time) look to be already downloaded transactions and get skipped over.

    One thought would be to enter for a while each daily purchase of Coca‑Cola® Zero to see if the next day's download consistently confirms the previous day's purchase. If that works properly then that would seem to suggest that something in the downloading process is wonky which of course Official Quicken Support can deal with.

    Then there's always the issue that some sort of data corruption in your file is the root cause of this problem, so doing a Validate & Repair might fix things. If you do end up calling Official Quicken Support then do this first as that might be one of the first things they suggest.
