No display of Cash Balance for investment account

I just switched the display option for an investment brokerage account to NOT "Show cash in a checking account". Now the account register has no cash balance and I get the pop-up in the attachment that

All my other investment accounts are fine in showing a running cash balance. How do I get my cash balance to show up for this one account?

Was this account, with the CMA, perhaps converted from MS Money? Or, perhaps, is it a retirement type account?

Or, perhaps, are you using the SIMPLE method with this account, where individual positions don't show …

@TedHtttt - when you converted the investment register, it looks like the conversion did not completely finish.

Have you tried the usual trouble shooting steps such as a data file validate and super validate?

Otherwise, you can restore a backup from right before the conversion and try it again.

As a last resort, you could always set up a new investment account and move all transaction from the old register to the new one, and then delete the old investment account.

All my other investment accounts are fine in showing a running cash balance.

just to clarify - do you mean this screen - and you selected - Show cash in Checking account [NO] ?

Also - are you using Simple or Complete - Tracking Method ?

and the Account Overview looks like this - but with a Cash Balance -

"No" to all questions by "NotACPA".

Already ran a backup from older file and recreated the new account which my question pertains to. Ran "Validate"- no help.

"Yes" to all screens by "Ps56k2", but the register has no cash/check items shown.

To be a bit more clear, this investment brokerage account (C.Schwab) allows debit card/check activity. But I can't get it to show any such activity in the register, or anywhere that I can find.

I went back to a previous backup and got most things working again, except it won't connect to Schwab. (cc501?) Also started getting a popup that my account had expired and wanting to renew. (it doesn't expire for another 6 weeks.) That bs went away. But an update put in a bunch of nonsense entries causing my balances to be way off.

I've been using Q for about 25 years and hate it to the core still. But after research, there doesn't seem to be an alternative for me at this time.
