Can anyone help me with the following, I am not sure that Quicken Reports really has a way to find this:

Find those securities across all accounts that show the best/worst "performance" over a given time period?

I would use an Investing > Portfolio view with all securities selected and look at the Avg Annual Return (%) columns. You can customize a view or use the built in Historic Performance view. Click on the column heading to sort from best to worst, click again to reverse the sort.

For YTD performance, use the ROI (%) YTD column.

Not a report, but you can look at a Portfolio View called Recent Performance and customize it to suit.

Thanks. I added the AAR column. That helped.

The Gain/Loss (%) columns in the Recent performance view only capture share price changes, not dividends or other distributions. If a security makes a large distribution as often happens with some mutual funds at year end, the price will go down but the value of your investment stays the same.
