Margins Won't Stay In Place

Pretty frustrating because this happens on all reports. I set each margin to the proper width. Then either by reopening the report or any modification to the register (that updates the report) will reset all the margins so that you cannot read anything. I have to reset each of the margin width again. This is an ongoing issue that I've noticed for many years, but I thought I would bring it up to see if there is a fix or if there is something stupid that I'm doing.

    When you say "margins" are you referring to the left, right, top, and bottom margins when printing, or are you referring to the report column widths?
