recategorizing

Once I've recategorized a transaction, it adds that payee to the Memorized Payee list. Is there a way to get it to then recategorize everything for that Payee? For example, I had to recategorize over 100 transactions for the same coffee shop. It would be nice if you could either filter by payee in the long list of uncategorized transactions then select them all to recategorize or, or have it auto update the category for each transaction once it becomes a memorized payee.

Pull up the Transactions report (under Reports > Banking).

    1. Customize it to select only the payee your want: Upper right Gear icon > Payee tab > Clear All > check the box for the specific Payee.
    2. Further Customize it to show only the uncategorized transactions: Categories tab > Clear All > check the box for Not Categorized.
    3. Further Customize it to show the date range you want from the drop-down menu (top left of the report Customization popup.
    4. OK.
    5. Your report should now show only uncategorized transactions for that specific payee within the date range that you selected.
    6. Left click on the 1st transaction in the report.
    7. Scroll down to the last transaction in the report and while holding down on Shift key left click on it. All of the transactions should now be shaded.
    8. Right click anywhere on the shaded transactions and then click on Recategorize Transactions.
    9. In the resulting popup, enter the category you want to assign to the selected transactions.
    10. OK.

Quicken will now enter that category you entered into each of those transactions.
