Synchrony Master Card stopped downloading transactions in a Quicken format. Any ideas on an alternative method?

Are you talking about Web Connect where you log into your online account and then manually download and import transactions in .QFX (or "Web Connect" or "Quicken") format?

If so, the FIDIR file (the file that lists all the financial institutions that support Quicken, lists the types of accounts they support for download, lists the connection methods they support) shows that Synchrony Mastercard does not currently support Web Connect, as you'd mentioned. It instead supports the Express Web Connect (or perhaps the Express Web Connect+) download connection method.

Have you tried setting up that EWC/EWC+ connection method via Tools > Add Account > type in and select Synchrony Mastercard? When prompted, make sure to link the download to the account you already have setup in Quicken. Then you can download transactions from within Quicken via Update Now or One Step Update.

If you do not wish to use EWC/EWC+ for downloads there is one other download option you might want to consider trying: If Synchrony Mastercard supports manual downloading in CSV, Excel, QIF or OFX formats…

    1. Download and install ImportQIF from https://www.quicknperlwiz.com/ . It is a freeware file conversion program that can often convert these file formats into a QIF formatted file that Quicken can then import. It was developed by a long-time Quicken user and still very active participant in this Community. Many have posted here that it does work well for them.
    2. Download your transactions in one of these 4 formats and then use ImportQIF to convert the file. Instructions for how to do this are listed in that website that I posted the link for.

Your only other option is to manually enter the transactions into the account in Quicken.
