Placeholders - rearranging their order?
Quicken Deluxe desktop in Windows.
The placeholders in each investment account are listed by alphabetical order of the equity name.
- Is there a way to sort the placeholders by date instead?
- Is there a way to create a combined list of placeholders from all the accounts sorted in various ways: by date, etc.?
- Is there a report that can produce a list of all the placeholders in every account? Seems like an obvious one to have in Quicken but I cannot find or create one.
Thank you.

Sorry, as far as I know there is no way to re-order the list of Placeholders on the tab.
In the Investing > Investment transactions report, Placeholders are marked with "*Placeholder" in the Action column but I don't see a way to sort or filter on that. You could probably export the report and filter and sort in Excel.

Are you referring to the listing in the Placeholders tab at the bottom of the transaction list?
To view the Placeholders in an account by date, first make sure they are visible by going to Edit > Preferences > Investments and checking the Show hidden transactions box. Then you can sort the Transaction List by Action by clicking on the header and scrolling to find the "Entry" actions. Click again to reverse the sort order. The Placeholders will have a gray background even when they are not selected.

Thank you for answering.
Yes, I mean the placeholders tab at the bottom of the transactions list. Not the main transactions list.
Also creating a report containing the placeholders from all the accounts which I can sort in various ways.
