Automatic transaction downloads

It makes no sense to enable automatic quicken transaction downloads at 4 am if I have to be sitting at the computer to enter the password vault password in order for the download process to proceed.

Am I not configuring something properly?

You shouldn't be using "Before each scheduled update" if you are going to be updating when you aren't at your computer. You should be using "At Windows startup" (which is in fact, no Windows booting, but is instead when you log in). I don't really see the point in the "Before each scheduled update" setting and it seems to be the default.

Note that I don't use schedule updates, so I might be missing something here. I really don't see the need for this function especially with all its restrictions. No, password on the data file, only works for the last data file opened, prompting for a password before a schedule update sounds useless you can just click on the One Step Update if you are at your computer, …
