Balance not syncing with Quicken
Quicken isn't showing the correct balance for a few items. Quicken is showing my bank account as being over a thousand dollars in the negative, when I have a positive balance of a couple of hundred. Quicken is showing one credit card as having a positive balance of three hundred, when it should show a zero balance. A different card is showing a negative balance of eleven hundred, when there's only a balance of one hundred on the card. Similarly, Quicken is showing another card as having a balance of fifty dollars, when it's zero'd.
I'm new to Quicken, but it doesn't seem like this would be from my categorization of transactions. Any advice appreciated.

When was the last time that you reconciled these account?
Have you recently changed connection methods (say, Direct connect to Express Web Connect), or deactivated and reactivated these accounts. Q sometimes changes the Opening Balance when this occurs.
Have you examined the account registers for duplicated items?

I'm fairly new to accounting, so when you say reconcile you mean compare Quicken transactions with the bank transactions?
This is a new setup, I just started Quicken this weekend. When I set everything up, I compared everything and there weren't any noticeably wrong transactions or duplicates. I haven't deactivated and reactivated any accounts, nor have I changed connection methods.
Can I wait for everything to post and let the accounts settle, then add an entry for the difference of Quicken and Actual to correct balances?

which balances are you comparing ?
Are you looking at the bottom of the Register and seeing - Online Balance vs Ending Balance ?
also - consider there may be Pending Transactions at the bank, that have not downloaded as yet0 -
I have the same problem. Home page, sidebar has Primary Checking account with a different balance than the bank has in its online register.
I can click on the update circle, and the two still do not agree - difference over $5,100.00 - significant!
Quicken's Balance is -$1491.00 and Online bank website has Balance of $3,685.00. What to do? Bear in mind that I am completely new to computers talking to banks

@Ps56k2 I'm comparing the Ending Balance, and Balance column, in Quicken with the Balance that is shown on the bank/card website. My credit cards have nothing pending, and my bank does not have pending transactions that would result in a -$1,200 balance.
As far as Quicken's history goes, it's always been a negative balance in my bank.
