Quicken won't let me add my checking account

For the 2nd day in a row, quicken won't let me add my checking account. 3 days ago, quicken disconnected all my accounts when it ran an update first. I spent hours getting my bank accounts connected but as of today, there is only the checking account that won't connect.

I went through the steps to setup the account. I prompted me to sign in to my bank and results were it said the I was connected. When the steps were through it gave me no option to Link to an Existing Account. The message was Do not add this Account. It is like quicken this it is connected just fine but it is NOT.

How do I fix this? And NO deleting the account and losing all the history of categories is not an option.

@Greg Semple So how about un-rejecting my prior reply? Maybe even marking it Helpful?

    What bank?

And when Q says "Do not add this Account", it usually means that the account is already connected in Q. Could you also have a closed or hidden account at this bank that's connected?

So I looked in the account list and found that account, but it was hidden. I'm not sure where that came from but I deactivated it and ran setup on the version that was not updating. I hope it works, I'll find out tomorrow.

    Thanks for the tip.
