On which side (banking or card) are you originating that txn in Q? In that original txn, what's in the CATEGORY field?
Are you downloading into Q from both accounts?

No. Are you downloading transactions from your bank into Quicken? Or are you manually entering the transaction in Quicken? InQuicken you should have an entry in your bank account for the payment and it should be categorized as a Transfer to the credit card account in square brackets like [credit card].
I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.

In your banking account, are you saying that "Credit Card 2 @PNC Bank" is the name of your credit card account???
Because it's the NAME of the card account, as known in Q, that should be in the category field in the banking transaction.

Credit card 2 @PNC Bank is what I've been using for years. It seems when Q became frisky and wanted do more they got into some other things. Sometime ?? a new category " all their own" is PNC points Visa Signature XX7897. I never had that account nor do I want it. I've had to delete two accounts they have inserted as well as categories. They seem to insert or change arbitrarily. I didn't think this was one of them. I'm going to go back and check the categories. I found in the category list "PNC points Visa Signature XX7897". This was added I didn't put it in. Thanks for your help. Got a little mess I have to clean up.
