is it possible to have a filter showing transacions for the current month and 2 next?

there is an option close to this, but works for quarters, So, as we are in the end of June, for example, we don't see transactions for the net couple of months. I think this could be worthy, because we would be able to see the future balances without creating a report, where we can't edit.

I extensively use Scheduled Transactions, particularly in the account from which I pay almost all of my bills.

With these Reminders set, I can use the Clock icon in the upper right of the register to see upcoming transactions, and balances, in the register for a variety of time frames, including "90 Days" on a rolling basis.

I will point out that before they put the ability to show reminders in the register about the only way you could do that kind of prediction in the register was to enter real transactions. And so some people have got inhabit of doing it that way. But it is much better to instead use reminders and the ability to show them in the register. This not only plays into the register it plays into the projected balance as the others have shown into the budget and probably other places oh yeah the tax planner. By having them as scheduled reminders if you need to change them it's no big deal if you actually enter transactions then you have to go into every individual transaction and change them. So the bottom line is you should work with the system that is set up and that is usual reminders / schedule transactions.

Are you talking about in an account register, or where? Do you have scheduled future txn showing in the account?

And, are you talking about current month +2 on a rolling basis, or what? And, specifically, how are you setting this filter "by quarter"?

exactly, I’m talking about current month plus 2 on a rolling basis. I just compared with the “this quarter” option because the idea is similar, if we are in the 1st month of the quarter. The idea is like you make something as a moving average. You will always see M, M+1 and M+2.

    Thanks

As an alternative to the register view, you can set up and use the Projected Balances view under the Bills & Income tab with a Time range of "Next 90 days"

    Here's a partial sneak peek:

A tabular listing of all these reminder transactions is shown below the graph.

    Other alternatives are

    • the Bills, Income & Transfers view under the Bills & Income tab, set to Due Date / Due in 90 days
    • the more traditional Manage Bills & Income Reminders view from the Tools Menu, sorted by Due Date
    • a Classic Home tab view customized to show Bill and Income Reminders for the next 90 days
