Unable to Verify Financial Institution: Arkansas Federal Credit Union
I am using Quicken Premier Version R57.16
When using the file import feature to upload transactions from my Arkansas Federal Credit Union credit card account, I receive a "Quicken is currently unable to verify the Financial Institution" error.
I am able to successfully use the file import function to upload transactions from my Arkansas Federal checking account. In addition, I am able to successfully use the file import function to upload transactions from my American Express and Wells Fargo credit card accounts.
The Intu.Bid number on the Arkansas Federal Credit Union credit card file is 50532. The same Intu.Bid number exists on the Arkansas Federal checking account file that will successfully download.

Well, looking in the fidir.txt file I see this entry:
50532 50532 50532 Arkansas Federal Credit Union https://www.afcu.org/ 501-982-1000 https://my.afcu.org/registration ACTIVE BANKING&WEB-CONNECT BANKING,CREDIT,ACCOUNTINFO&EXP-WEB-CONNECT NOT_QBP NA
You will notice that it only has BANKING for WEB-CONNECT (not Credit) that is why it is failing. So, there is a disconnect between what the financial institution thinks they support (they are creating a QFX file for the credit card accounts) and what Intuit (Quicken Inc's aggregator) has.
This something that need to be reported to Quicken Support, and maybe the financial institution.

Based on the research and experimenting I've done, your answer makes complete sense. I reached out to Quicken Support and they are pushing me to the Financial Institution. I will give them a try.

Why don't you simply switch to using Express Web Connect, which can be initiated thru One Step Update?
That change will resolve your issue since, per FIDIR.TXT shown above, AFCU supports downloading CREDIT accts via EWC(+)

There are two reasons to push to get the file import feature working verses using the Express Web Connect.
- The file import feature does not require me to key my online banking login credentials into Quicken posing less risk of a data compromise that could potential impact my accounts.
- Both Quicken and Arkansas Federal indicate they support file import. Therefore, it should work.
Arkansas Federal was already aware of the issue as it has resulted in a few complaints. They are working to resolve.

Getting the financial institution to acknowledge the problem is most of that battle, so hopefully it will be fixed for you soon.
