Old Transactions Added to Register

I've been having difficulty getting one-step to work at all lately. I did a few things - deactivated/reactivated connection to BOA. That did no help so I logged out and back into my account. That corrected the download problem, but it caused other issues:

1. The account balance on my list of accounts does not match the balance within the transaction page. If it off by a lot basically a factor of 10.
2. Very old transactions that were already accounted for were added to the account. These seem to be those transactions that I've set up bill reminder. It appears that when I downloaded the transactions from the bank, Quicken automatically added transactions that were not set up to automatically enter.
3. When I try to find the transactions looking for 'uncleared' transactions, they show up. When I try to find them using the payee name, they do not appear.

I've come close to resolving this mess by going to the bill reminder list and deleting the offending reminders. They were in red.
