Investment download valuation is wrong
I recently had to replace my Max laptop and unfortunately quicken was backing up to hard drive which I no longer can access. I can deal with that but when my investments from Schwab download they are incorrect in that the #shares is not properly translated and the value is way lower. Any guidance to ensure value is correct would be appreciated.

Hello @webb1994,
Based on your description of the problem, I assume you're starting over with a new file and the newly added accounts are showing incorrect information right out of the gate? If that is the case, Quicken will typically create placeholder transactions to account for missing history. I'd recommend checking those placeholders, since they may be the source of the incorrect value.
If you're having issues with SWVXX (Value Advantage Money Market Fund) and/or SWGXX (Schwab Government Money Fund), they are mapped as cash in Quicken. See this announcement for more details.
I hope this helps!

I read the announcement stating that Quicken treating SWVXX as cash is "by design", however the design is flawed.
SWVXX is not cash. If a check is written against the account and there is not enough cash to cover it Schwab does not automatically sell shares of SWVXX to do so. If cash is required, a Sell order must be created by the account holder and a day is required for it to clear and have the funds availible.
SWVXX should be shown as a security within the account so as to make the cash availible for withdrawal correct.

I agree with @bgambrill Also, Qucken enters monthly SWVXX dividends as a dividend transaction instead of reinvested dividends in SWVXX shares. As a result, the Quicken SWVXX portfolio total differs from the Schwab statements.
