JPMorganChase Investment Transaction download

When downloading investment transactions from JPMorganChase all investment accounts are switched from complete to simple tracking. JPMorgan says it is a known issue between JPMorgan and Quicken. Quicken helpline says it is a JPMorgan issue. Anyone else having this problem? This has been occurring since early June. Very annoying as once download is complete, it forces me to restore a backup to get investment transactions back into register.

Well, all I can say about this is that you aren't alone. No one has yet figured out any solution to it or what is causing it for that matter. Most likely it is something that Chase has changed, but seems to be limited to just some accounts/people.

wonder what the impact is between the different Quicken entries from the FIDIR -
note the JPM entries with and without the space -
for Chase & Chase Investments New - "JPMorgan" Chase Bank - "JP Morgan" Chase Bank

I have no idea what is causing this problem now (I have yet to encounter it), but I have use Chase and Chase Investment New and found not difference in behavior between those two. I have never used the "JPMorgan" ones.

In that thread, another user suggested that using changing to Chase Investments New fixed the problem for him, but another person tried it, and it didn't fix the problem for them.

It really strange that it is only hitting some people and some accounts. For some people it isn't all their accounts, for others it is all of them, and for people like me it is none of them.

I was running Quicken on an old computer using Windows 10 Home v. 22H2. Download from JP Morgan ran fine. Migrated this weekend to a new system running Windows 11 Home v. 23H2. Q files transferred fine. When I tried to download month end transactions on, my investment accounts switched to "simple" and no register was showing. Per discussion with JP Morgan rep, problem was with Q, not them. I should disable the account (I have 8 investment accounts) and then reenable it. I did this and I could then reset the Tracking Method to "Complete." Soon as I tried to download again, it switched them back to "Simple." Went back to old computer and did the ME download. Everything ran fine. Transferred the file on thumb drive to new machine but haven't tried a download again fearing it will corrupt the settings again. I'm wondering if something changed in Windows 11 because it same Q SW and Same JP Morgan interface run fine on Windows 10.

It's happened to me for awhile as well. Noticed it in early June and waited to see if any updates would correct the situation (Windows and/or Quicken) but nothing changed. I did upgrade to Win 11 3 or 4 months ago but it doesn't seem to be a problem as everything worked fine after that. It was after a Quicken update that I first started noticing this as well as CC-501 for all my other Chase accounts. Seems even though I'm getting error notification for all accounts, banking accounts are in fact updating just not the investment accounts.

I sent a .pdf of this thread as of 5:19 pm on 7/3/24 to my banker and it was forwarded to Chase IT. We shall see …..

I am having a somewhat different issue with the "Chase Investments - New" feed, which is the only feed that has been able to successfully connect with all my JPMorgan/Chase accounts for the last year at least. No issues until about a week or two ago. Now, when I run one-step update, I receive the CC-501 error "Unable to update these accounts because of an error on the Quicken server. For more information, see this FAQ." The FAQ is not helpful.

After this happens, I can go into each JPM/Chase account and Edit Account Details/Online Services Tab/Deactivate, and then flip to the General Tab and remove the Financial Institution (i.e., Chase Investments - New) and the account number and click OK.

Once complete for all accounts, I then go into one of the accounts, Edit Account Details/Online Services Tab and click on Set Up Now and proceed as directed. This will reestablish the proper working for all of the JPM Accounts FOR TODAY ONLY. Tomorrow, if I want transactions to download, I need to do this process all over again. I just timed it and it took at total of 20 minutes to complete (I have quite a few accounts there); not something I'm interested in doing daily.

    Anyone else have this experience?
