Why are Pending Transactions Not Deleted After They Post to Accounts?

My Chase Amazon credit card account and a couple of other issuer credit card accounts seem to accumulate pending charges that are never deleted as these charges post. I started noticing this the last few weeks when a missing transaction on Quicken caused my account balance to be off. Sometimes, when I delete the pending transactions that are no longer relevant it causes the balance to reset from that point forward, further messing up the balance. Obviously, when a pending transaction is posted to the account by the credit card issuer, the pending transaction should be eliminated automatically, but this doesn't appear to be happening. Maybe I should change the account setting to NOT show pending transactions? But then I won't get to see what is outstanding but not yet posted. Is this a problem for anyone else?

    i have had nothing but issues with pending transactions & had to turn them off. I just enter a new transaction via the app as soon as i buy something

    I would like the ability to remove a pending transaction that has been entered in my register.
