When reconciling Credit Card accounts please add additional options for making a payment. Please add Direct
As it is now, when you reconcile a Credit Card account, Quicken then asks if you want to make a payment now?
First, you’re asked which account to use for payment – no issues, as this works fine.

But the next field within the box asks “Payment Method”
The box only allows two options: Print a Check or Handwritten Check. In this day and age of doing most transactions online, please add more payment options – for example, Direct (which would allow a payment to be electronically handled from the correct payment account; i.e. primary Checking Account

Why does this matter? I leave that field blank.

After reconciling a credit card, the "Make Credit Card Payment" pops up with two options, Print Check or Hand Write Check. My credit cards are set up for automatic payment from my checking account so instead of a check, they are paid with a transfer. The transfers are in my Reminders so I don't miss one.

I'd like to have two additional payment methods in the "Make Credit Card Payment" list. "Transfer Between Accounts" and "Use a Reminder."

    The terms are misleading.

"Print Check" is accurate in that it will bring up the Print check dialog.

But "Hand Written Check" is in fact entering transfer into the register.

What I do find missing with this dialog is allowing for a different date. That way one might put in a transfer for a future date. When I was using this dialog, I would always end up using "Hand Written Check" to get the transfer and then have to change that date. So that is why changed to using a reminder.

As for your a "Use a Reminder", what you should do is just select "Don't show me this screen again", and just have a reminder that repeats for the date that your payment actually happens.

I agree this needs updating to today's reality. I'm assuming the Printed Check option allows the user to print a check from Quicken, and then enters the transaction in the register. And the Hand Written Check option just skips the check printing step and enters the transaction. Therefore, this dialog should be redesigned to have just one checkbox for printing a check. (And ideally Quicken remembers the checkbox state between reconciliations.) Then there is no need to worry about describing how the payment is made (hand written check, between accounts, between banks, electronic, crypto, forex, etc.) It would be great to add a date on this dialog. I always pay my credit card later in the month, so I have to go back and edit the transaction with the future date. And I add the confirmation number to the transaction.
