For reference, here is the Simplifi Refund Tracker help content:

At first glance, I don't see how the Simplifi approach is somehow novel to the traditional Quicken Classic approach. It asks the user to enter the same information on the refund.

In Quicken Classic, you simply enter the refund as a future date and deposit in the account you expect it to download to from your FI. The refund remains "uncleared" until a transaction download occurs thus allowing you to track whether or not your vender has fulfilled its refund process. For the user, its a simple inspection of the register or if you have tremendous amounts of transactions, use the register filters. Just an application using existing functionality.

It's true can track it by creating new transaction.

But there are many good features that are user friendly with how the alternative works. I like it's one click to create the refund (that is underlying a future transaction) and not have it appear. And if refund does not arrive it will not effect balances. And more.

Agree can do everything with current quicken classic implementation, but I personally appreciate the usability of the alternative way of refund tracker.

Adding the feature would allow users to use the current feature set as others describe above, while other like me can use refund tracker if that is what they prefer. Similar to Quicken simplify that does not require you to use refund tracker, you can create future transaction or not track refund at all.

Hopefully at least some other would like to use it, and assuming quicken added the refund tracker from some usability research as some users found it useful

So appreciate that others may not use it and as such would vote does such an implementation, but would be nice to hear if anyone would appreciate the feature,
