Incorrect Investment Data

Investment data, such as Dividend and Annual Dividend amounts have not been converted to USD. All other amounts in regards to investments are in USD, however the Canadian Stock, BCE Inc. TICKER: BCE, traded on the United States NYSE is shown in Canadian Dollars. ALL other dividends are listed in USD. I find this to be a problem that can cause a bad decision because of mixing foriegn currency with US Currency and making them ALL appear to be in USD. FYI, BCE Inc. Dividend is NOT .9975 USD, it is .9975 Canadian; From Schwab:

Previous Dividend Payment$0.73
Previous Pay DateJuly 15, 2024
Previous Ex-DateJune 14, 2024
FrequencyQuarterly
Annual Dividend Rate $2.9
Annual Dividend Yieldadditional information about8.75%

See if this helps: INVESTING, Security List, click EDIT to the far right of the stock name, UNcheck "Matched with Online Security" and change the Currency to US Dollar.

You might need to exit and restart Q before that last step.

Also, are you holding BCE in an account that CDN, or USD? Any account, in Q, can only be one or the other … you can't mix currencies in a Q account.

Everything in USD….Quicken goes out somewhere and pulls these numbers to propagate the columns. It seems where ever they are getting the info is mixing Canadian Dollars with US Dollars. The security is set up as a Stock on the NYSE and is bought and sold with USD and no conversion charges are assessed or its calculated into the amount. IDK, I do know that I am NOT going to receive .9975 on 200 shares as Quicken shows, I am going to receive .73 on my shares.

Sorry but, I have gone thru your unmatch process twice now. There is no monetary basis choice. It unmatches and then when I return to the account, it matches it up again. I do not see anywhere to "pick" a currency and really shouldn't. You go to ANY US based brokerage and you will see USD for this symbol, BCE. You will see a prospectus showing a dividend in USD. I don't pay an exchange rate, I buy with USD and get paid in USD. I don't understand where they are getting their data from and why they would default to Foriegn currency in some columns but not others.

So this is a problem. It is incorrect data in which I could have acted on and made a mistake due to inaccurate data however, since the majority of folks don't use the information or simply don't understand what I am talking about, it will get ignored and buried and they will probably kick me out of the club again. I have a whole list of bugs and problems with Quicken which have NEVER been addressed or even acknowlegded, yet the price for such inaccurate information keeps going up. I want a fix for this because I am paying for ACCURATE information and NOT receiving such. If the information is going to be inaccurate and erroneous why even show it?? Disable the columns! We are NOT in Canada!
