Setting up a new HDFC account

Has anyone recently set up a new HDFC Bank (India) account in Quicken Classic Deluxe?

By profile currency is USD. When I try to either add a new HDFC account, or try to set up manually then connect online, Quicken does not provide a way to select the currency and defaults to USD, when it should be INR. Also, past transactions don't get downloaded, and the only latest balance is shown.

Sorry, but you cannot add accounts to Quicken and connect them online for transaction downloading when the desired currency is other than US$ for the US version or Can$ for the Canadian version of Quicken.
The only way to add your INR-currency account is by creating it and keeping it as an OFFLINE account. This also applies to all other international bank accounts.

And even when you add this account, in INR, you won't be able to download into it, no matter where you're located. Only US banks (and a VERY few Can banks with USD accounts) have signed the contracts to download into Q.

    Thank you both.

@NotACPA - LOL. I had to google it - "Housing Development Finance Corportation." It is commonly known as HDFC Bank. Just like how "TD Bank" is more common than "Toronto-Dominion Bank.
