Bank Balance and Quicken Bank Balance do not match.

I recently moved from Quicken on PC to Quicken on my MAC. All my accounts were transferred with no issues and can be reconciled accurately.

One account, my checking account, is having issues. My quicken register matches my bank register with the correct ending balance. When I go to reconcile, Quicken states my online balance to be $18,895.00, and it should be 0. I have spent hours trying to figure this out. I have gone through all my transactions line by line, matching my register with the banks, and there is no error. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

Thanks for any help!

Instead of reconciling to your online balance, try reconciling you your last statement balance. When you click Reconcile, you should land on the Reconcile start-up screen shown below. (If it opens directly to a reconcile screen, it's because you already started a reconciliation; click the "Back" button to the left of "Finish Later" and "Finish" to get back to the start-up screen.)

This allows you to enter the ending balance and date of your last statement; then complete that reconciliation and Finish it.

The next time, you can try switching back to reconciling to your online balance if you want. Hopefully, the online balance will be correct this time. If you're still having problems with the balance reported by your bank being wrong, you can just continue reconciling to your statement each month.

I am curious, though, that you say "Quicken states my online balance to be $18,895.00, and it should be 0." Is it correct that you're saying you have no money in your bank account? That seems unusual.
