Networth Graph
I can't find a way to have Quicken for Mac display a graph of my total Networth. It should include all investments and Banking.
If it can be done, please tell me how.
thanks

This graph always has the Y axis start at zero (or below) to the detail of changes between assets and liabilities. is compressed and essentially lost in some cases. So yes, the detail can be lost, especially if you pick time period where there are no substantial changes to either assets or liabilities. There Dashboard as still a relatively new feature in Quicken Mac, and the developers have been adding enhancements to it every few months, so being able the change the scaling of the Y axis might come in future update, since you're not the only one with a similar problem with the way it works currently.
The developers have stated that adding graphing for reports is in their development plan. We never know when such new functionality will appear or how it will work.
Some possible work-arounds for the time being…
I'm not sure what exactly you're wanting to graph for Net Worth, but if it's the change in net worth over time, there actually is an old report tucked away in the reports section which may do what you want. It's somewhat hidden by design because it uses Quicken's old reports engine which has been superseded by a more configurable reports engine for almost all reports; the old reports are deprecated and are expected to be removed from the program at some point. But in the meantime… if you peek in Reports > Net Worth, you'll find "Net Worth Over Time". There's very limited customization available, but you can set a date range and select which accounts are included in your net worth — and you can select the Y-axis to not start at zero (which is the default) — and you'll see a line chart of your net worth over that time. And you can print that report, although there are no controls over the size of the graph which prints.
Otherwise, you can run one the the more modern net worth reports, such as Net Worth by Year or Net Worth by Month, and Edit the date range to show the period you want to see. Then Export the data to a CSV file and open it in Numbers or Excel, where you can quickly generate graph and tweak it to your liking.

Yes, you can show a Net Worth graph by going to Home > Dashboard. Net Worth is one of the 7 available "cards" in the Dashboard. you can show or hide whichever cards you want by clicking the little 4-square icon in the top right just under the "Q" logo. In the Net Worth card, you can customize which accounts are included by clicking on the ••• icon in the upper right of the card, and then clicking on the Accounts tab. By default, it includes all accounts except those coded as "Separate".

I found it but it uses $0 as the minimum (because of a few hundred dollars of liabilities?) so years of net worth changes look like a straight line at the top of the card.
Is there a way to set the lower bound to a specified value? It's useless as is. 😒
Thanks for the reply.

Thanks Jacobs,
that old Networth over Time report is what I wanted but clumsy result. I had been doing what you suggested in the final paragraph but was hoping a new report or "card" might have snuck in without me noticing it.
Appreciate your replies.
