How to set up new budget starting Oct 1 2024 based on historical data from 10 1 2024

yes this is just a new year budget starting in oct both times - HOWEVER - by far my two biggest expenditures are RENT which changes in Dec but now with change in Oct due to moving in September (and also having to double pay for 2 weeks in Sept 2024.

Added to that since I have used Quicken I have not had a car and in either Aug, Sep, or Oct will be needing to acquire a vehicle and insurance and all those lovely costs where I do have any data.

And I have NO budgets now set.

I keep trying to set things one way or other but keep NOT getting want I want - and I also want to be able to save for a single category - as in example above - I'm going to need extra for rent since the double payment.

Am I missing the point of budgeting in Quicken?

thank you.

Why can't you create a partial year (Oct - Dec) budget for 2024? And than a full year budget starting 1/1/25? Budgets can be created on either an Annual, or Monthly, basis.

See Q Help (F1) for more info about budgets.
