Why is one stgep downloading, or any downloading, inaccurate or adding transactions?

Essentiall for all the accounts I update lately quicken is missing transactions, stores purchases and then gives wildly inaccurate totals. Some of my accounts show 1/3 the money that is actual in them and I do not know where the errors lie as it shows no new transactions. Whe I reconcile I am constantly having to do balance adjustments as it adds or subtracts money and even continues to update closed accounts that are now closed adding spending that should have been accounted for years ago……

Insufficient info provided to assist you.

What SPECIFIC cards is this happening with? What's the download method for each? What Financial Institution issued them.

Do TOOLS, Account List for this info. If any requested info isn't shown, it can be added via the OPTIONS button at the bottom of the dialog.

Are those "closed accounts" also closed in Q?

Also, what RELEASE of Q are you running? This can be found at HELP, About Quicken.

Grump. I've had similar problem just few days ago. For some reason Quicken Classic with latest version installed began "syncing to cloud". After doing so Quicken Classic began downloading, shall I say, duplicate register entries going back about 2.5 years. To cut to the chase, it caused several of my spending accounts to be massively inaccurate. One spending account was about $3255.00 (more or less, who's counting) out of balance 😂 I'm in no mood now to attempt to correct this, so took easy way out and just did a Balance Adjustment for above amount. Since Balance Adjustment was for the present date, I updated Balance Adjustment to show it approximately 2.5 years ago (2021). This at least allowed spending register to correctly indicate 1 year of accurate entries 🤣 This "ain't no permanent fix" but I'm use to this happening about every year or two with Quicken 😆 As Dolly Parton sang: "I beg your pardon, I didn't promise you a rose garden". Good luck & hang in there 😐️😉

I have been doing the same thing. It is frustrating when I try to keep my stuff as accurate as I can. Good luck and hang in there too….

It is Quicken classic R58.9 running on Windows 11.

The accounts are varied which is why the frustration Ed Jones investment accounts, CitiBank credit card, Chase Bank, and it is on both one step and the individual account downloads. The only semi sure way is to go to each institution and download from there as that prevents the updates from 5 years ago suddenly popping in like I didn't do that 5 years ago. The closed account is closed on Q. I disabled the webconnect, yet still…
