One Step Update, Update Now from account register, Synching

Will I ever be able to use One Step Update, Update Now from an account register or Synching again. Everytime I run these procedures it seems that my computer always is not responding when look at the Task Manager, after 20 minutes of not responding I usually end the Task no matter which of these procedures I use. I have tried to do troubleshooting on my own, and it seems to happen with Bank of America, Chase, even when downloading quotes. Seems the only time it works is when update now with Fidelity Investments or Citibank. HELP!!! this is so frustrating. This started probably 2 to 3 weeks ago, I have updated to the most current release. Any suggestions or help anyone can provide me.

Thanks,

Mark

Have you tried taking a backup and then Validating your Q data file?

NotACPA, thank you for your response. I have not, I will do that now and post the result.

Well the validation screwed up all my wife's and my paycheck detail, the splits were removed and it was put in as a total to wages, not tax or other type of splits, lost them all. I will need to restore the back up and look at these transactions. Not sure if it was the validate that made the changes or an Quicken Update. This isn't good. Will be restoring, but will first try a One step update, just to test.

I am in a conundrum. The One Step Update worked quickly. So there must be issues in my account file. What would you suggest. I like to compare the past couple years to see how things are going in terms of expenses and Income. So would be alot of work to redo all transactions that aren't as original, tough part finding them all or do I just not update transactions via One Step Update, Update now etc… This is so concerning.

Another question. Does anyone know how to tell if an update nullified a paycheck entry and just put the net pay into wages. I noticed all my paychecks do not have splits anymore and the net pay just goes to wages. I like to keep track of taxes paid for tax prep reasons and comparison purposes. Anyone else have this issue and was able to resolve?

I have done something else. I restored to a backup that had my paycheck splits intact, did a validate, running One Step Update now and looking at the Task Manager it has not responding, been there for 10 minutes. Not sure what else to do, I am on the most current release of Quicken. I guess not more updates for me besides Citibank and Fidelity Investments. Any suggestions from anyone, including Quicken customer technicians?
