Reconciliation of mortgage entries - still broken

This problem has been around for a while and I just checked it…

When I Reconcile a principal payment in the mortgage account register, it creates a spurious reduced line in the source paying transaction, and reduces the total source transaction amount.

E.g., say I have a payment that's $2250 total - $2000 principal, $250 interest. Quick is correctly creating that through the payment reminder - it creates a transaction with two split lines in my bank account, and the principal line is correctly set as a transfer to the mortgage balance account.

But if I go into the mortgage balance account and change the Clr field from Uncleared to Reconciled, Quick goes back to the bank account transaction and creates a 3rd split line of negative 250, and changes the transaction total in that account from $2250 to $2000 ($2000 + $250 - $250).

This isn't devastating - I don't HAVE to mark the mortgage principal payments as reconciled in the mortgage account - but is irritating.

This also happens if one has an Escrow with the mortgage and reconciles that account.

I've seen, and reported it, for years to no avail.
