Quicken Not downloading from American Century Brokerage
Windows 11 and Windows 10 Version R58.9 Build 27.1.58.9 Quicken Classic
I have not been able to connect and download transactions from American Century Brokerage (They use Pershing for their accounting). This problem started about 2 weeks ago after years with no problems. All other accounts are working fine. I have gone to ACCOUNT LIST to try to activate the account after deactivating it. Quicken asks for user name and 4 DIGIT password. That didn't work. I went to the AC website and it says they need a 6 digit number for the password. I set up a new 6 digit password on AC. That did not work. I contacted AC and they said that they had not had any other complaints, but I have some doubts. They basically said it was a Pershing problem. I am not a computer genius - I use Quicken to manage my portfolio. I assumed the program works.
I have called support and they could not fix the problem.
Here is the dilemma:
- Is this a Quicken problem?
- Is this a Windows update problem?
- Is this an American Century problem?
- Is this a Pershing problem?
- Is this the user's problem?
Any time you have this many possible sources it is always magnified in degree of difficulty to solve.
I believe Quicken should take the lead on this. After all, they are the only one of the above who I am paying for the use of Quicken.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
PS: I noted when I searched the site that people were having a similar problem in 2021.

Have you contacted Q Support about this? This site is other users … not Q Support, and there's not much we can do/advise re: this type of issue.
