When I update my saved Budget Compare reports in Quicken, everything saves correctly except for the budget year. Despite changing the "Budget Year" in the report and saving, the software consistently reverts to the earliest budget year when saved report is retrieved. All other settings, including the "date range" and "budget" are saved, only the "Budget Year" won't save. It seems there's no functionality to retain the chosen budget year upon saving.
Here's an example. I open the saved report, the budget year defaults to 2016 (historical).
I change the Budget Year (again) to 2024 and save:
When I open the report again it shows 2016!!! Ugh!!!
Additionally, I have found that if I "Customize Report" (gear icon) and make any minor modification to the report, even as simple as selecting "Difference as %" and then immediately deselect the option, the Budget Year is properly updated to show the current year. I can also just add a space at the end of the report name and then removing that space (so essentially no change) and report will then show the current year. So essentially, the "customize" forces the report to properly refresh it's defaults unlike simply retrieving a saved report.
BTW, this has long existed, I just finally got tired of manually changing it every time I retrieved the report and decided to spend a few minutes to inquire and/or report this as a bug. Is Quicken aware of this issue and when might a fix be available?
