How do future transactions show in loan register?

I'm using Quicken Mac subscription. I set up an auto loan and the future transactions are not showing up in the register. I have set up the future payments in my checking register and however, the transactions do not show up on the loan account payment register. I have the transfer from check to the loan account set up. Any ideas? The happened on another auto loan and I found a setting that makes the future transactions show up. Can't remember what I did.

I'll take your word that you have setup the bill reminder correctly.

The source of your problem might be how far you have your checking account setup to displayed future scheduled transactions. When in that checking register, click on the dropdown upper right to change-I suggest changing to "Next Due" to see all instances:

If you still don't see the reminder, then you haven't set it up correctly.

Someone will correct me on this if I'm wrong, but…

There appears to be a longstanding bug with the omission of the little clock icon on a loan register screen. (I found several old, closed discussions about this.) Why do I say it's a bug? Well, if you click the gear icon in the upper right, the Account Settings > Display Options screen says there should be one:

So if there's no icon to set showing future transactions, how do you do it? (Note in the screenshot above, I'm showing two months of future transactions above the green line.) In the left sidebar, click on the Property & Debt heading. Notice that this register does have the little clock icon on the upper right. Click it and select how far in the future you want to see future transactions.

This change will apply to your auto loan account. It will also apply to any other Property & Debt accounts you have. So then you can change any Property (asset) or Debt (liability) accounts — other than loans — individually to different values if you wish. So the workaround is a bit convoluted, but you should be able to get your registers set the way you want. (The only thing you cannot do is have different periods of times on different loan accounts.)
