Linking online accounts to Quicken

I have many years of manually added financial transactions transactions in Quicken. I'd like to try linking these accounts online with Quicken but am concerned about corrupting or losing my manual account history. Any tips on how I can do this while retaining my past transactions? Is it as simple as linking the accounts to Quicken for new transactions only?

I'm using Windows and have Quicken R58.9

Thank you.

Just take a backup before you connect these accounts to online. If you don't like the results (but what you fear won't happen) you can always restore from that backup.

It's possible, when you add the download, that some txn might be duplicated. So, if you mark all existing txn as "R" (reconciled) before you make the connection, it'll be easy to spot any dupes, since they won't download as "R".
