How to Connect Replacement Credit Card
I have a new Southwest Chase Visa Credit Card that replaces other SW Chase cards that were compromised, but I need to retain the data. from the old cards.
I go through the update procedure to update Q with the new card (…0642) and everything appears to go fine. But when the last screen appears it displays under the heading ACTION: Do NOT Update.
I've attempted this many times over the past week, but the problem remains.
Please HELP!

try downloading the transactions - does it work?

When I go to the Tools: One Step Update, the new account is not listed. So, when I update, only all of my other accounts are updated. That basically is the problem. Thank you

@Lou Wienecke - I suspect that your Chase cards are set up with Express Web Connect+ since Chase switched over to this connection method about a year ago.
If I am mistaken about this, please let me know.
If my assumption is correct, some EWC+ financial institutions will not let you simply add a new account for downloading to the other accounts you already have set up for downloading. And I believe Chase is one of those that does not allow that. The way to resolve that issue is as follows:
- If you have not already done so, in each Chase account enter and save the Opening Balance transaction dollar amount into the Memo field. (This is not critical but it can help resolve an issue that sometimes occurs when account connections are set up or modified. More on this later.)
- Backup your data file.
- Select one of your Chase accounts and go to Account Register > upper right Gear icon > Edit Account Details > Online Services tab > Deactivate.
- Repeat step #3 for each of the other Chase accounts.
- Add Account > type in Chase into the search field > Next > follow the prompts to set up the connection > when prompted to decide what to do with the newly downloaded accounts data be sure to select "Link to…" and then select the appropriate account for each download, except for the new account for which you should select Add Account.
- Check the account balances. If any are incorrect, check to make sure the Opening Balance dollar amount matches what you previously entered into the Memo field. If it does not, correct it to match what is in the Memo field.
- If any account balances are still incorrect: Scroll back through the account register looking for duplicate transactions. If you find any, keep one and delete the other. Most duplicate transactions, if there are any, will occur within the last 90 days.
This process will retain your old compromised account history and it will set up a new account for the new replacement card.
If you wish to merge the old compromised card account and the new replacement card account you can do that. Let me know if you want some assistance on how to accomplish this.
