Downloaded transactions erasing manually entered transactions

Is anyone else having problems with transactions downloaded from his or her finanacial institutions erasing transactions entered by hand? I enter transactions with subcategories as soon as i make the purchase; when quicken downloads the same transaction from the bank or credit card company it erases my manual transaction and all the subcategory data that was part of it. It is quite maddening. Such things never happened prior to the last update. Sincerely, Dennis Hess

Is the feature to automatically enter downloaded transactions into the Register turned on? If it is then the first thing I might try is to turn that off and have transactions show up in the "Downloaded Transactions" area below the register. Then try accepting downloaded transactions that "Match" and see if the over-writing of your manual entries continues to occur or if your manual entries survive intact.

If that doesn't work and if you think this is the result of the last update then you can "roll back" to the previous version you were using by downloading the appropriate Mondo patch. These are available here:

Hi Tom - Thanks for the prompt response. My checking account register is the most problematic. In this register, under "Preferences/Downloaded Transactions" none of the three boxes in the "After downloading transactions" subcategory were checked. Coincidentally I noticed a "Pending transactions" category and saw that feature was turned on (and that may be my problem). I turned that feature off, checked "Automatically add to banking registers" and unchecked "Automatically categorize transactions" just to see what happens with the next download. Thanks for the assist. r/Dennis
