Keep next scheduled instance in current account; move rest of the series to another account

I have a scheduled transaction that occurs monthly (on the second Wednesday). The next instance is 9/11/2024.

I want to keep the next instance in the account it resides in, and move the remaining scheduled transactions to another account.

I tried the following on the next (9/11/2024) instance:

Mark as deposited (I'm not sure that is needed, but it seems like it might be needed).

Method 1:

Schedule selected transaction:  Change to End: On date  9/11/2024. Click OK. Schedule selected transaction again, to verify: the instance now shows End: Never.

Method 2:

Schedule selected transaction: change to: Frequency: Once. Date 9/11/2024. Click Ok. Run Schedule selected transaction again; the instance has been changed to Monthly, starting 10/2024.

I realize I could move the entire series to the other account, delete the first instance there, then manually create a single instance for September, but the transaction has a lot of splits that I'd prefer to not have to manually enter; and I figure there must be a way to archive this differently.

All you need to do is mark the September 11 instance paid, and then drag the next scheduled instance to the other account. That should do it.

I'd (already) marked the first instance as deposited (but I didn't mark it as cleared). After reading you say to 'mark the September 11 instance as' "paid", I then realized that since it is a deposit, and not a charge, that marking it as "deposited" has the same effect.

I just tried your suggestion, and at first it appeared the series had vanished, but then I realized the target account only showed future scheduled transactions out 30 days; I changed it to 12 months, and the series (starting in October) indeed showed up in the target account.

    Thank you!
