Data file not stored in iCloud

I have set my MacOS setting to store/sync my desktop and documents folders in iCloud for some time. It allows the convenience of accessing these folders from various devices and locations. I believe, however that the Quicken data file is located on each computer's library>application supprt>quicken folder which is actually on the computer and remains there, not in iCloud. So, given this situation, the admonition against storing the data file in iCloud would not apply. Is this correct?

If you want your Quicken data file in a more accessible location which is also safe (not stored on iCloud), you might consider creating a Quicken folder at the top level of your macOS User account (e.g. Macintosh HD > Users < [your User account] at the same level as Desktop, Documents, Movies, Pictures, etc.)
