There are no transactions to match
This started a few months ago - 3 or 4 maybe. I'm now running Quicken Classic Deluxe R58.9, Win10 64-bit, Chrome; all updates installed when available.
My checking account bill reminder enters a payment transaction in checking and its corresponding transaction in a Citi credit card account. They become "active" on the date. A day or two later I run Update now to download transactions to the Citi account; one of them is the payment that should match the one already created by the checking transaction. In the past, I was able to match them manually.
Now, when I select the downloaded transaction and hit Edit and Match manually, the pop-up says "There are no transactions to match."
So, I have to delete the downloaded transaction in order to move on.
Is there a fix for this?

I take it that the downloaded transaction is marked as "New?"
Looking through this site brought up only a few posts with that specific message, and I couldn't find any definitive answer to the problem. Given the few instances that I could find and the lack of any specific remedies my first guess would be that some sort of data corruption, maybe even corruption of the Reminder, is at play here.
Try deleting that Reminder, closing Quicken, maybe even re-booting the computer, then setting up that Reminder again, and see if that works. If that doesn't work then the next thing to try would be a file Validation & Repair. And if that doesn't work I'd contact Official Quicken Support to see if they can figure it out.

Yes, it's listed as New. I will try your suggestions - thank you for your help.
