How to set up a self-directed IRA (SDIRA) account for non-traditional assets

I have an SDIRA with a custodial trust company. It allows me to use the IRA to invest in various non-traditional assets such as real estate, secured and unsecured Notes, businesses, private equity, etc. I want to manually set up the account and keep track of the various investment types, amount funded, maturity dates and expected returnsm etc., depending on investment type. Can Quicken support this?

I use Mac Version 7.9.0 (Build 709.54520.100)

This question has come up a lot of times in the Windows side of Quicken, and all sorts of things have been suggested for this setup. Assuming Mac Quicken has more or less the same capabilities as the Windows version you might try using "Search" in here for "Self Directed IRA" - you'll get plenty of hits - and see if any of the suggestions in answers will work for you.

The summary answer to your direct question of "Can Quicken support this?" I'd say is "Um… Yes, sorta, using various workarounds, if things don't get too complicated."
