Copy and Paste Invoices is leaving the body of the invoice blank.
I invoice the same 5 clients every month and the invoice is mostly identical. So every month I copy and paste the previous months invoices to create the NEW invoice, and edit the date, invoice number, and maybe a line or two of the invoice. Everything is pasting into the new invoice EXCEPT for DESCRIPTION column. The Category and Account all copy just fine. And if I click into the Description column to edit it, its completely blank and I can't edit or add any text either.
This issue has come and gone over the years. Sometimes re-starting Quicken or even my entire Windows 10 PC fixes it, but this time I can't find a fix. Please help and thanks!

Instead of Copy & Paste, have you tried scheduling the invoices as recurring reminders?
Right-click an invoice in the Customer Invoices account register, select "Add reminder" from the popup and fill out the reminder form.Recording the reminder prior to the due date will give you a new invoice form, ready to touch up and record as needed.
Repeat for all other customers.0 -
I just tried the Reminder (great feature btw, thanks!) but unfortunately the descriptions are still missing when I go to edit them or email them to the customer. To clarify, if I paste a copied invoice, or if I "Enter" a Reminded invoice and click on the "Display Form" everything including the Descirpions APPEARS to be there. But if I try to edit anything in the description, the text box is empty, no matter what Description line I click. Everthing else on the invoice is both visible are editable. ALSO if I click on the Printer Icon and then preview- then I can tell everything is visible except the Descriptions. If I Print or Email the invoice, the Descriptions are blank.

What version of Quicken are you using? (Click Help / About Quicken to get R xx.xx)
If you haven't done so already, please do the following actions:- Even if you are on the latest software level already, download and install the latest Manual Patch file from https://www.quicken.com/support/update-and-patch-20182019-release-quicken-windows-subscription-product to ensure your Quicken software is up to date and correctly installed.
- Reboot Windows.
- Start Quicken. Do not run One Step Update.
- Run BOTH Validate and Supervalidate to attempt to repair your Quicken data file.
- If nothing helps, contact Quicken Support on the phone during posted hours of operation and report this problem

Im using R58.9 and I just ran both Validations. The first log noted some transactions and accounts were fixed and Super gave a passed no errors. No luck. So I guess I need to find some time to call support. Thanks for trying to help me!

I just wanted to update this issue. All of a sudden copying and pasting an invoice is working properly again. If I could only figue what will make it stop working, again.
