Whats the point of saving receipts with transactions if receipts must be extracted one at a time

I want to use the feature whereby receipts (such as for vehicle gas) can be attached to the transaction (e.g. while at the pump using the mobile app… or later on desktop). However it seems that in the event I am audited and need to show the fiscal year's receipts I must find them on Quicken and download each receipt one at a time. Downloading each receipt requires 6 clicks excluding identifying where to download the receipts to. This is ridiculous. If I have 2 tanks of gas a week that's 104 receipts x 6 clicks = 624 clicks… just for one category. Is there not a better way (with or without Quicken)??

Yes there's a better way … store those receipts OUTSIDE of Quicken, say in a series of Win folders or in a documents manager. THEN, just reference in Q where you've stored them.

Another downside of storing receipts in Q is that they can ONLY be viewed from within Q.

There are many simple and free apps for scanning and organizing receipts and other documents. See this NY Times Wirecutter review for ideas. Hopefully it is not paywalled. I was surprised to learn for example that scanning to PDF is an option in Google Drive.

Not paywalled. I just downloaded Adobe Scan.
