Headers and Subtotals in the Account Sidebar--how to

Hello all,

I was able to regroup all my retirement accounts together under investing but I want to achieve three things:

  1. A header that says retirement like the ones that say "Banking, Property and Debt etc)
  2. A subtotal that shows ONLY the balances of investments that are NOT retirement
  3. A subtotal that shows ONLY the balances of the retirement accounts

Thank you,

JT

Sorry, but that flexibility is not provided in the account bar. You can of course create home page charts grouped and labeled as you want as another way to monitor those subtotals, e.g. my retirement accounts, my non-retirement accounts, etc.

You might want to repost this as an Idea thread so that it can get better traction for consideration.

One comment though, I don't know if you just typed the wrong word, but the grouping in #1 should be "Investments", not "retirement" since #2 would have "non-retirements" under a "retirements" group.

When proposing an Idea, it is important to have all the "i"s dotted and "t"s crossed otherwise the Devs could potentially implement as originally described and you get something like the mess with downloaded loans (no detail or flexibility) or pending transactions (conflicts with online balance).

I also would like subtotals. An example is a subtotal of all credit cards in the account bar. They are all grouped together as credit, but no way to show ongoing total.

  • Thank you to everyone who answered, kind of seems like something they obviously should have available.

FWIW, I remember being on a call with product management many years ago when they were looking into sub-accounts, etc. My recollection is that it quickly became a lot more complex than I would have ever imagined. Don't know what ever came of it, though, so who knows maybe some day.

  • It would be nice and most things that seem simple usually are not.
