Any Quicken version compatible with 4.0 files on Windows XP?

I'm currently using Quicken 4.0 (yes, very old) on an old PC running Windows XP. The PC is starting to die. Is there any version of Quicken that I can download to be able to import my files? I input info manually; no need to connect to my banks. I basically use Quicken as a check register, and run a simple report for my CPA at year's end.

Good luck. You can try converting though several versions.

If your Quicken was before 2010 you should have several files making up the data.  The main data file ends in .QDF.  All Quicken versions prior to QW2010 store your data in a series of files all sharing the same filename but with different extensions like  - .QDF .IDX, .QEL, .QPH  and all 4 of those files were rolled into a single-file .QDF starting in 2010.

If you can convert it or need to start over you can download 2013 Deluxe for free using the convert article.  It’s under Converting from Quicken 2004-2009.  2013 is the last good version before they started requiring an ID and since they went to the subscription model where if you don't renew about 25% of your screen is taken up with an ad to renew.

I'm staying on Quicken 2013 Premier for Windows.
