QuickPay for Mac increasingly unstable, almost unusable
When I first got Quicken Classic for Mac, I was able to add almost all of my billers and pay bills through the check register but as time has gone on, there have been increasing problems. First my Fidelity Elan VISA bill had problems that Quicken attributed to added security, so I started scheduling that though my bank's bill pay. Then, two months ago, Quicken sent me an email saying they couldn't pay my electric bill because the biller "had an outage". So I scheduled that one manually through the power company's website. This month, I got a similar email from Quicken regarding my gas bill - that the gas company "had an outage". I seriously doubt that all these companies are having outages and am having to scramble to pay these myself, on the day they're due. I no longer have any faith in Quicken to pay my bills and am just going to start using it as an electronic check register. Huge disappointment and I would not recommend this product to anyone.

It seems to be a trend with many banks and billers recently to be unwilling to support third party data aggregators like Quicken and Intuit. There is said to have been a new Federal Rule instructing all banks and billers to protect their computer systems from outside intrusion, a.k.a. hackers.
Please consider this alternative to using Bill Manager.

I do as recommended above. Added advantage is that, as long as I make sure to have money in the account, it becomes the biller's responsibility to take the money … I don't have to remember to pay it myself.
I receive all of my bills a few weeks before the due date and I input them, with the correct payment date, into my Q account. That way I've got the running balance to tell me how much money I need in the account(s) so I can do the plannine/money-movement needed.
