I live in three different places. I have quicken classic on my Mac in Florida and would like to also have it on my Mac in PA. Is there a way to get my data on my desktop in PA without having the physical file? is there a way to get the info from Quicken on the web?

Quicken Classic is desktop-based software which is designed to be use from a single computer. There are a few ways to attack accessing your data in multiple locations:

    1. You can move the Quicken data file between the various computers. The easiest way to do this is to save a protected copy of the data file — either a .quickenbackup backup file, or a .zip copy (created by File > Compress in the Finder) — to a cloud storage platform, such as iCloud, Dropbox or similar. The crucial thing is that you should not move your actual live .quicken data file to the cloud and try to run Quicken from there; this inevitably leads to a variety of problems.
    2. You can use the Quicken mobile app and/or web interface. You sync your desktop data file with Quicken's cloud, specify which accounts should be accessible there, and can then view and enter your transactions there. Note that it will not sync your entire transaction history unless you've just recently started using Quicken; it will sync most accounts but not all account types. Reporting and other functionality is not as robust as on the desktop app, but if all you need is to access your account registers and/or enter new transactions, this can be a viable solution. It generally works well, but some users experience syncing errors which result in older data over-writing newer data.
    3. Start over with Quicken's newer online product, Simplifi. This platform is browser-based with all your data in the cloud, so it's ideal for people who want to access their data on any device at any time. But it's not nearly as robust as desktop Quicken, and there's no way to move your existing desktop Quicken data into Quicken Simplifi.
