Quicken Cloud Seems to be Broken

My cloud data had a bunch of errors on it, so I did the reset that is suggested on here all the time. This only made my file worse and was bringing in super old data and completely messed up desktop file, so I had to restore from a backup. Every time I did this and tried to sync it would mess up the file again. So, I just turned off sync for now.

Cloud sync has unfortunately been unreliable from the beginning and most experts and SuperUsers have it completely turned off as it may corrupt the data file as you are experiencing and we have too in the past. To be fair this is not a Quicken only issue, rather many comprehensive programs that were specifically designed as a desktop install suffer with their cloud sync except for a few with very large R&D funds.

    Hi @BK,

Thanks for the comment, I’ve seen that said a bunch on here but was holding out because it is handy and cool to be able to look something up on my phone when I’m out & about. But it’s not worth risking my data file.

    Thanks again.

I am new to using the mobile app, and recently back on Quicken Classic for Windows - Personal and Business. I have customized my expense categories in the desktop app, but they are not reflected in the IOS app. I reset the datafile and re-logged in, but that didn't help.

Is anyone else able to see updated categories in their mobile app?
