Copy/Paste Within an Investment Account
I am not able to copy and paste a withdrawal transaction within my Schwab IRA account. Actually, I have the option to copy, but paste is always greyed out. I can copy and paste a purchase, a sale, or a reinvest dividend transaction, but not a withdrawal. I can copy and paste a withdrawal within my Schwab after-tax account. I don't have any other accounts I can try.
I just tried copying from my IRA account and I can paste it in my after-tax account, but I can't copy from my after-tax account to my IRA. So it seems the issue is pasting in a Schwab IRA.
I saw at least 3 threads on this topic, but the newest was started in January 2020. Is this a recognized problem? Is there a workaround?

Hello @Jeff Nicoll,
To answer your question, you can copy/paste transactions within Investment registers, but the process to do so is different from the process you use in banking registers:
- Go to the gear icon in the upper right and select Edit Multiple Transactions.
- That will bring up the Edit Multiple Transactions window.
- Select the transactions you wish to copy, then click the Duplicate button.
- You will get a confirmation window asking if you want to Duplicate the transaction(s). Click OK.
- For each transaction you selected, a new window will come up, allowing you to edit it, as needed, before it's entered into the register.
I hope this helps!

Quicken Kristina, Thanks, that worked. But why? If Quicken can make the Edit Multiple Transactions work, why not have the Paste Transaction selection just go to that piece of code? Or at least to the point in the code where it opens up the dialog box for one transaction. I think you'll admit that this is not an obvious thing that someone would do when they have the Paste Transaction selection from the drop down list available. Anyway, add my name to those who would like this to have a cleaner resolution. Thanks.
