Custom Dates On Report

I have an unusual issue and am curious if anyone else has run into this…

I run a YTD financial statement (income/expense vs budget) where I change the end date every month. For example, my September report was from 1/1/24 - 9/30/24.

For October, I changed the dates to 1/1/24 - 10/31/24 and ran the report. The report ran and first gave me the 1/1/24 - 9/30/24 results and then ran again giving me what I wanted…1/1/24 - 10/31/24.

I got my answer but it took twice as long as the report essentially ran twice.

Obviously, the report is corrupted and it is likely that I will simply need to recreate it to avoid this issue…unless there is a quicker fix?

Anyone experienced this and have a quick fix?

How did you create that report? Why doesn't the canned "Current Budget" report work for you? REPORTS >Spending > Current Budget.

Just now, I had no problems with adjusting the end date via the "Date Range" dropdown in the upper left corner of the report. My default setting for that field is "Custom Dates"

I created this report probably 20-25 years ago…just keep rolling it forward to each new year. My guess is that I started with the canned report and just memorized it to display on the toolbar.

All that aside, I typically do not have issues changing dates…my default is also custom dates.

    It is just strange that a report which I have memorized for 1/1/2024 - 10/31/2024 calculates 1/1/2024 - 9/30/24 first…and then calculates 1/1/2024-10/31/2024.

I have had this happen occasionally over the years…just never bothered to inquire on this board.

I'll just rebuild the report from the canned report.
