You fixed Citi card connect BUT
So it only took x # of weeks to fix the Citi card connection issue. Now it downloaded my transactions and some how it removed $484.33 of previous transactions. The amounts in register and the amounts owed on line were perfectly in line until i did the update. I have gone back 2 months now and still that same amount is off. Thanks for making more work for me to find this I swear you guys could mess up a mud puddle.

Well just verified. I restored a back up and used that file to re authorize citi downloads. Before i did that i matched the balances in my reg with the online and got an exact match on 10/6/2024 As soon as i authorized the totals changed and now its showing 878.54 less then the online balance. How in the [Removed - Language] do you remove things from my register without asking.

Check the Opening Balance of the account to see if it was changed. Whether it was changed or not, put the OB amount in the memo field for future reference. Quicken has a bad reputation of changing the OB when setting up One Step Update.

nope thats not it I have to now go though each statement to see what it removed. My guess is multi transactions What a waste of time and we pay for this crap

Rather than going thru statement by statement, restore a backup creating a copy so that your current file is not overwritten. Then open the copy, write down the end of month balances and then compare those to the current file to find where it changes. It will save a lot of comparison work.

i went to back up exported that account then imported it under a offline account. Looking though the reg i can see going one month at a time differences of small amount like 25 and 40. I wonder if i can just copy all of them and paste to other account after erasing all the others. Or move them. I suspect it erased them because they were not reconciled only marked as cleared Who sits and reconciles there CC each month

You can only do mass copy/paste between accounts inside a single file. You could do a .QIF export/import of the account.
Who sits and reconciles there CC each month
Lots of people. Some reconcile to the Online Balance every time they download.

and thats exactly what i did Like i said "i went to back up exported that account then imported it under a offline account." I then selected all the transactions and chose move to the Citi account. Alas it failed to fix the balance problem so i am now trying again

OMG took forever to figure this out. First i had to go back looking though many backups to a point were my CC online balance showed the same as my register. The weird thing is the 484.33 amount added up to exactly what the 5 pending transactions were on 10/11 so i was thinking it was just the CC showing the total with the pending transactions. Well what wonderful quicken for no reason had done was change the reconciled opening amount due from a amount owing of 450.65 to a payment of 33.68 So the under amount on my register was 484.33 The exact amount of the pending transactions on 10/11 What are the odds of that. Anyhow not to mention all the pending transactions from 10/11 were now downloaded to my register and were still showing pending.
My question is what the hell gives quicken the right to remove or change reconciled transaction in my register. I have to confirm to delete or change but they can just willy nilly change costing me hours of time. Thanks for nothing quackin
splasher you were right and had it not been for the pending match up i would have have looked closer at that.
