How do I reconcile a debt (mortgage) account? (Q Mac)

I have a debt (mortgage) account that I cannot reconcile. I can mark transactions as cleared (blue check mark) but not reconciled (green check mark). The account reconcile option in the top "Accounts" menu is greyed out.

@mhowell It's never been clear why a few things are different with a Mortgage Payments screen compared to other registers. There's no bottom menu bar, so you can't configure which columns to show in the typical way; you have to know to Control-click on the column heading to do that. (It sounds like you already did that, because you have the Clr column, which is not visible by default, visible.) And you can't Reconcile. My guess about this is that the developers didn't want users to create reconciliation adjustments which would mess up Quicken's amortization calculation.

That said, for many people, since there's only one monthly payment in this register, a blue check mark here is be good enough to denote that the payments have been made and verified. But you can turn blue checks into green checks if you want to. The same trick which works in other accounts registers also works in a loan Payments register: Option-click on a blue check mark, and it will change to a green (reconciled) check mark. (Option-clicking on a Clr checkbox will cycle through the three states of unclear, cleared and reconciled.) Changing the boxes from blue to green doesn't do anything else, but if it makes you feel more certain about what you have verified, it's easy enough to do.

Thank you so much - that worked! I like to have items reconciled with a green check mark in the "All Transactions" register - because I only focus on the blue checkmarks and no checkmark for open items.
